CTN Coon Rapids: New Apartment Building Celebrates Grand Opening

Sherman Associates celebrates its grand opening of Aster Apartments in Coon Rapids, a 192-unit market-rate building that is the third phase of Sherman’s transit-oriented development in the Twin Cities suburb. Aster opened in April and is leasing ahead of schedule at 58% leased.

Sherman has been working with the City of Coon Rapids for nine years on the vision for the multi-phase development to serve all ages and all incomes. Nova was the first phase that opened in 2019, a 71-unit mixed-income building and was followed by Lyra in 2020, a 180-unit market-rate building. Sherman has plans for a fourth phase that include an active senior (55+) apartment building as well as a small freestanding build-to-suit commercial pad.
