Overview / Details

Originally constructed between 1968 and 1972, Autumn Ridge consists of 366 rental units within 13 buildings. Sherman Associates acquired the property in 2007 and completed a renovation of the interior and exterior of the buildings and interior of the units which aligned with the redevelopment objectives of the City of Brooklyn Park.

Autumn Ridge offers studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom units for households earning 50% and 60% AMI as well as some market-rate units.

Building amenities include community room, fitness center, grill station and picnic area, outdoor playground, 24-hour maintenance, and on-site management.

Sherman Associates partners with Metro Blooms on landscape redesign at Autumn Ridge including installation of new rain gardens and pollinator habitat, and replacement of ash trees with a more diverse and sustainable tree canopy. The project focus is resident-centered design, installation and training for equitable engagement of the residents and community in the environmental landscape.

Brooklyn Park is a suburban city on the west bank of the Mississippi River, upstream from downtown Minneapolis in northern Hennepin County. It is the sixth-largest city in the state of Minnesota. The population was 86,478 at the 2020 census.

Energy usage for Autumn Ridge is partially offset by energy production from a solar garden located in Carver County.
