Sherman Associates Announces New Executive Chef at Castile Restaurant in The Hotel Zamora

{ST. PETE BEACH, FLA., February 22, 2023}—Sherman Associates announces Kimberly Subject as the Executive Chef at Castile Restaurant, Lounge & Rooftop located in The Hotel Zamora at 3701 Gulf Boulevard in St. Pete Beach. Subject is an award-winning chef from Missouri.

Subject will execute cuisine and manage the culinary service operations of Castile along with the 360° Rooftop. She will oversee culinary efforts for The Hotel Zamora including weddings and events, the rooftop and pool bar. Her ability to curate new and thoughtful menu options will result in an elevated dining experience.

Subject has refreshed the menu since joining Castile using fresh, local Florida ingredients for Mediterranean-inspired dishes and recently introduced new breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. A new brunch menu will be coming soon.

Subject brings unique culinary talent to Castile garnered by her experience in fine dining and upscale restaurants including Anton’s Tap Room in Kansas City and the 1932 Reserve at Lake of the Ozarks.

The Hotel Zamora and Castile were acquired by Sherman Associates in September 2022 and are known for their panoramic rooftop views of the Gulf of Mexico, the Intracoastal Waterway, and St. Petersburg.

Sherman has plans for a $7 million renovation of The Hotel Zamora including upgraded guestrooms, common areas, and amenities with a focus on serving local clientele. Castile will receive interior updates and will remain open during the hotel renovation.

Castile is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The 360° Rooftop is open at 4 p.m. daily. Reservations can be made through Open Table.
