Dan Collison Promoted to Vice President of Strategic Growth and Public Affairs
Collison has been promoted to Vice President of Strategic Growth and Public Affairs, a leadership role dedicated to business development, strategic partnerships, government relations and community engagement.
The position reflects Sherman’s continued focus on the public-private partnerships and stakeholder relationships that are essential to moving development projects forward. Collison works across markets to identify new opportunities, strengthen civic and business partnerships, and support the company's growth strategy.
His work currently includes leading future growth opportunities at Gray's Landing in Des Moines, where Sherman is positioning its land holdings for future development and investment.
Will Anderson Promoted to Vice President of Development
Anderson has been promoted to Vice President of Development, where he will continue to provide strategic leadership for the company's development division and oversee the team responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing development opportunities across existing and growth markets.
Since joining Sherman 15 years ago, Anderson has progressed through multiple development roles while delivering transformative projects throughout the Midwest. His experience in public-private partnerships, underwriting, financing and project execution has positioned Sherman for continued growth.
Among his current priorities is Sherman’s first development in Rochester, Minnesota, where he is overseeing the continued advancement of the Civic Center North Lot site as part of the Mayo Clinic’s Destination Medical Center (DMC) economic development initiative.
Meredyth Skemp Promoted to Senior Developer
Skemp has been promoted to Senior Developer in recognition of her leadership and extensive experience in affordable and market-rate multifamily housing development.
With more than 20 years of real estate development experience, Skemp oversees all aspects of the development process, including acquisition, entitlements, financing, design and construction. Known for her collaborative leadership style and expertise in affordable housing, she has successfully led projects across multiple markets and development types.
Skemp is currently leading work on several of Sherman’s major developments including Beltline Station under construction in St. Louis Park, Minnesota; The Heights in St. Paul; and an affordable housing development with the Denver Housing Authority located at 1139 Delaware Street.
Tia Jacobs Promoted to Developer
Jacobs has been promoted to Developer, where she will continue advancing multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial developments from concept through financing and execution.
Since joining Sherman, Jacobs has contributed to development planning, underwriting, funding strategies and project execution across the company's portfolio. Her background in housing policy, development finance and community development has made her a valuable member of the development team.
This week, Jacobs led the successful closing of the Bottineau Commons & Lofts resyndication, a $45 million preservation effort that will rehabilitate and preserve 156 affordable homes in Minneapolis. She is also leading the historic Duluth Armory redevelopment, an adaptive reuse project that will transform the landmark building into a regional arts, music and community destination in Duluth, Minnesota.
These promotions strengthen Sherman Associates' development leadership team as the company continues to pursue opportunities that expand housing options, preserve affordability, revitalize historic buildings and support long-term community growth across its markets.
