President Chris Sherman recognized among inaugural Finance & Commerce C-Level Award honorees

President Chris Sherman has been named an inaugural honoree of Finance & Commerce’s C-Level and Leadership Awards, a new program recognizing top executives across Minnesota for their leadership, vision and impact.

Since joining Sherman Associates’ development team in 2008, Chris Sherman has helped guide the company’s growth across its multifamily, commercial, and hospitality portfolio. His early work focused on complex historic renovations and new development, including the transformative repositioning of Riverside Plaza in Minneapolis, an example of reinvesting in existing assets to strengthen communities.

Today, as president, he leads with a strong client focus, overseeing the company's leadership team and directs vision, strategy, and performance across approximately 7,000 multifamily housing units, five hotels and nearly 1 million square feet of commercial space. Under his leadership, Sherman Associates continues to expand in both existing and new markets while remaining committed to long-term ownership, operational excellence, and community impact.

Chris Sherman is known for his approach to balancing development and operations, recognizing that strong operations are the engine that sustains growth and empowers teams to do their best.
