Moment named Top Project of 2022 by Finance & Commerce

Moment was selected as an honoree at the Top Projects Awards of 2022 hosted by Finance & Commerce! The construction industry was once again challenged by increased costs and an ever-evolving hybrid work model in 2022. Housing needs continued to increase while office space hung in limbo. However, despite facing a myriad of challenges, Minnesota builders completed a variety of projects, including apartments, medical facilities, school renovations and more. Among those finished projects, an independent panel selected 50 honorees for Finance & Commerce’s annual Top Projects awards. When selecting the projects, the panel of judges looked at the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts. Located on the corner of 7th and Portland in the Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis, Moment is a mixed-use development that is skyway connected and a short walk to U.S. Bank Stadium, The Commons Park, The Armory, and Stone Arch Bridge. Luxury meets leisure at this 10-story development featuring 222 residences, sweeping views of downtown Minneapolis and U.S. Bank Stadium, and nearly 15,000 SF of commercial space including direct access to Starbucks and a future daycare center. The first of its kind in the United States, the Firefighters For Healing Transitional Healing Center located on the 2nd floor of Moment provides 12 fully furnished Home Away from Home suites available to families of burn survivors, firefighters, and first responders traveling to the Twin Cities for care at nearby Hennepin Healthcare. The Transitional Healing Center serves one of the leading trauma Centers and burn Centers in the country. The nationally recognized Burn Center and the Acute Burn Clinic at Hennepin Healthcare provide intensive, acute, and rehabilitative burn care to children and adults from the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and surrounding states who have sustained burn injuries and other complex wounds.
