MinnPost: Minnesota tax credits give a financial boost to film producers, historic preservationists … and big insurance companies
President Chris Sherman explains the utilization of tax credits for Sherman Associates’ recent projects including Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District and NorShor Theater in Duluth. State and federal tax credits are a significant part of how Sherman funds many of its historic preservation and affordable housing projects. Sherman goes on to say that he expects it to be a tool for when office buildings reach eligibility for historic status and have potential to be repurposed as residential buildings.
