Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal: Sherman plans event venue at Old Spaghetti Factory space in Minneapolis

Sherman Associates announces Mill District Event Spaces, a premier event venue opening in June 2025 in the historic J.I. Case Building at 233 Park Ave. S. The venue will transform the former Old Spaghetti Factory space into a dynamic 350-person event space designed to meet growing demand for mid-sized gatherings in the growing Mill District neighborhood of Minneapolis.

The main-floor venue will feature a 5,300-square-foot event space large enough for 350 people, a smaller 80-person event space, and a pre-function gathering area. Operated by Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District, the venue is part of Sherman Associates’ ongoing redevelopment of the J.I. Case Building, which also includes the Solus Spa and a rooftop terrace.

As the final piece of the Sherman block redevelopment—encompassing multifamily, retail, and hospitality properties—this new venue will complement Sherman’s nearby portfolio, including the Canopy by Hilton hotel and Umbra restaurant, Aloft Minneapolis hotel, and surrounding restaurant tenants, Chloe by Vincent, La Madre, and Mother Dough.

Bookings are now open through 2026 through the Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District hotel.
