Ben Grannon receives In-House Counsel Award from Minnesota Lawyer

Ben Grannon, Assistant General Counsel, has been recognized as a 2022 In-House Counsel - Rising Star honoree by Minnesota Lawyer.

This year's class of 20 attorneys, who work in-house in both the public and private sectors, will be feted in an April breakfast and celebration at Leopold’s Mississippi Gardens in Brooklyn Park. Honorees have demonstrated achievements, leadership, and mentoring.

Grannon started at Sherman Associates almost four years ago and has driven to completion several large, critical development closings and key refinancings, as well as contributing significantly to commercial leasing efforts. His notable projects include Moment, O2, the refinancings of Ascent and Aspire, and commercial leasing. He provides legal representation and support for real estate development, acquisition, refinance, commercial leasing, and a variety of corporate and operational matters.

Grannon has the skill and the patience to assemble and close some of the largest and most complicated real estate deals in the Twin Cities. He is very efficient and productive and continues to evolve and grow as he learns his customers and their needs. His organizational methods allow him to maintain this performance even as the workload increases, resulting in the timely production of high-quality work product.

Grannon’s success stems from his ability to listen well, accurately identify the issues at hand, and then respond with thoughtful, appropriate counsel to his internal customers. Grannon continues to refine his processes and expand his knowledge of the law, the real estate development industry, and the various financing tools available to make that development possible. He is an indispensable part of the Sherman legal team and is absolutely a rising star.
