Beam named Top Project of 2022 by Finance & Commerce

Beam was selected as an honoree at the Top Projects Awards of 2022 hosted by Finance & Commerce! The construction industry was once again challenged by increased costs and an ever-evolving hybrid work model in 2022. Housing needs continued to increase while office space hung in limbo. However, despite facing a myriad of challenges, Minnesota builders completed a variety of projects, including apartments, medical facilities, school renovations and more. Among those finished projects, an independent panel selected 50 honorees for Finance & Commerce’s annual Top Projects awards. When selecting the projects, the panel of judges looked at the degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts. Located on the iconic curve of West Broadway Avenue in the Jordan neighborhood, Beam honors the vibrancy and momentum of the Northside with easy access to neighborhood shopping and recreation, public transportation, and nearby downtown Minneapolis amenities. Beam delivers 72 mixed-income apartments (50% and 60% AMI) and 20 townhomes (80% AMI) to the community of North Minneapolis.
