Redevelopment Begins on Rayette Building in Lowertown St. Paul
Rayette Lofts is a mixed-use housing and commercial development in the historic Lowertown neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota. The seven-story Rayette building will contain 88 apartment units, community retail space and structured parking. Apartments will be market rate, with 1 and 2 bedroom layouts. Units will feature high- quality interior finishes, in-unit washer/dryer, oversized windows and exposed historic columns/brickwork. Building amenities include a rooftop deck with views of the Mississippi River, a fitness center, community room and onsite property management. The rehab of the exterior includes the repair of damaged buff colored brickwork and conversion of modern finishes back to their historic façades. This redevelopment will effectively blend modern amenities with the historic nature of the Rayette building and surrounding area. A prime location and comprehensive amenity package makes Rayette Lofts an in demand St Paul housing option. It is located 2-blocks from Union Depot (light-rail, hard-rail, bus), one-block from the Saint Paul Saints Ballpark (under construction; completion 2015), and across the street from the Saint Paul Farmers Market. Construction of Rayette Lofts began in July 2013. Initial occupancy is projected for September 2014.
