Metro Lofts already fifty percent occupied at grand opening

Along with city officials, representatives of the Iowa Finance Authority, HUD and other important partners, Sherman Associates celebrated the Grand Opening of its fifth housing development in the Court Avenue area of Des Moines.  Built in an astonishing seven months, Metro Lofts adds 111 tax credit and market-rate rental units to Sherman’s rental and for sale portfolio in one of Des Moines’ most desirable downtown neighborhoods.  It also represents expansion of a pocket of housing that continues to hold some of the company’s most successful rental communities.  One of its predecessors, Vine Street Lofts, will celebrate six years of occupancy without a single vacant unit this June.  The Metro Lofts project was made possible by the cooperation of the City of Des Moines, HUD, the Iowa Finance Authority, the Iowa Department of Economic Development, Stratford Capital and Oak Grove Capital.  Read more below… View Photos from Grand Opening » Rental Information »
