After almost two years of planning and negotiating a treacherous commercial lending market, Minneapolis-based developer Sherman Associates announced it's plan to break ground in mid-June on a $10.5 million mixed-use development on the north side of East Colfax Avenue between Pontiac and Poplar Streets.

Phoenix on the Fax, a five-story, 75,000 square foot building will have 50 one, two, and three bedroom apartments and space for a 4,500 square foot resteraunt with a 1,00 square foot patio and two live/work spaces on the first level. The building will be constructed in compliance with Enterprise Green criteria.
